Aims

The Fudan Microbiome Center has a clear vision to revolutionize microbiome research and development. Through cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary collaborations, we strive to unravel the complex interactions between microbiota and their hosts, enhance sustainable agricultural practices, and explore the relationships between microbiomes and ecological balance. Our efforts aim to drive scientific breakthroughs and translate research findings into practical applications that benefit human health and promote a sustainable future.

To achieve these research objectives, the Fudan Microbiome Center utilizes state-of-the-art research platforms. These include omics platforms for comprehensive microbiome analysis, human phenomics projects to capture host-microbiome interactions, a germ-free mice facility for in vivo experiments, culturomics for microbial cultivation and characterization, in vitro gut simulators to model gut environments, and chemical microbiomics to study specific micro-organisms and their products. By integrating these advanced technologies, we gain deep insights into microbiome dynamics and their functional implications.
