2026 China Gut Health and Innovation Conference
May 29–31, 2026 | Shanghai, China
Hosted by: Biophysical Society of China
Co-organized by: School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University; State Key Laboratory of Microbial Metabolism, Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Fudan Microbiome Center; State Key Laboratory of Genetics and Development of Complex Phenotypes, Fudan University
In recent years, gut microbiota research has advanced from compositional description to functional dissection and clinical translation. As the human “second genome,” gut microbes play key roles in host metabolism, immune homeostasis, inflammatory responses, and tumor development. Accumulating evidence links gut dysbiosis to obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and various malignancies, positioning the gut microbiota at the forefront of precision medicine and chronic disease research.
The conference will address cutting-edge topics including maternal–infant microbiomes, the gut–brain axis, microbiota in metabolic disease, immune regulation, tumor microenvironment remodeling, and microecological interventions. It aims to foster high-level academic exchange, bringing together leading researchers to share recent advances, address key scientific questions, and accelerate translation from basic research to clinical application.
