Abstract:
Dr. Yingyu Liu is a scientific editor at Cell Host and Microbe and a cross journal editor within Cell Press. She will share about what happens to your manuscript after submission, what editors look for in a paper, productive paths towards publication at Cell Press journals, and how to become an editor yourself someday.
Short CV:
Yingyu joined Cell Press in Cambridge (US) in April 2021, working closely with editors and authors across a variety of journals to improve the publication journey for researchers. She holds a joint position as an editor with Cell Host & Microbe. Yingyu received her Ph.D. from Cornell University in 2020, studying the relationships between plants and bacterial pathogens. Yingyu extended her interests from plant host-microbe interaction to a commensal fungus and its mammalian host during her time as a postdoc at Brown University before joining Cell Press.
